| Some days when we came to the breakfast, we had to sit next to the information desk bacause no tables avaible. I think that the breakfast room is too small. |

| My stay here was pleasant and the bed was comfortable, room clean and everything worked. The gardens are superb with a great diversity of plants of interest.
The pool area is very nice though drinks are a bit overpriced the happy hour is reasonable.
The buffet offers standard breakfast food which is just adequate, nothing special.
I could not find anything at fault with this hotel and it represented great value at my time of booking. |

| The first night we had to spend in a small horrible room, we still have no idea why because we paid for a good room. Anyway, our real room was fantastic, with a wonderful wiew over the ocean. Just loved it. Nice staff to, and a great breakfastbuffét! Only thing that was a little hard was to climb the stairs, because of the lack of an elevator. Would not recommend to live up high for older people, or people with kids. |

| Basically the hotel was o.k., the ladies at the reception were not too friendly but this was possibly because of their English not being too good.
What however we found very disturbing was the compulsory dinner on 24th of December at exaggerated 2900,- Baht per person which did not include any drink (not even some juice or water) except for one small half full glass of fruit punch to toast.
The value for money was not really good and we had the impression that the hotel management just wants to cash in without spending much on hospitality. Nevertheless, we have also to consider that we stayed there during the peak season. Off season might be better. |

| I would highly recommend this hotel. All staff are most friendly and courteous. Room (upgrade) was excellent but required steep walk with many steps.
Hotel is close to restaurants, and to Kata beach which is a beautiful beach.
Only negative comment is the ornamental water containers near reception, which are a breeding place for the mosquitos that are noticable around the reception seating area. |

| The hotel is reached after a steep walk from the beach,after this there were over a 120 steps upto our room. Not ideal with a temperature of 30 degrees plus. Location only sutiable for fit and experienced hill walkers. |

| My vacation on the hotel was very very good. The staff were kindly with lot of servicemind, good good. The view from the balcony was amazing. It was lot of steps, but it´s good for you healthy to walk on. Food and the room were nice. I would definalety come back. |

| I never travel to Phuket during the hi season so i can not comment on the service during that period. This is my 5th visit to this resort in the low season and find it very sabai.It has friendly, help full staff and a relaxed feel about the place. the pool is great and the view of Kata beach is fantastic. |

| Отель отличный. Удачно расположен между двух пляжей. Немного напрягает взбираться в горку пешком. А так - все классно. Правда, живность мелкая изредка встречается - муравьишки, ящерицы. Но кругом - природа, лес, джунгли, простите меня. |

| Orchidacea resort has probably one of the best location in Kata (at the reasonable price) with ABSOLUTELY wonderful sea& mounting view ( but only from De Lux rooms at the upper floors!)and convenient access to the beach. 3-4 min walking to the Kata beach and 6-7 min walking to the main shopping&food area. Staff is very friendly, service and breakfast are very good. Special thanks for free upgrade my accomodation for the first 4 nights ( these things happen!).
Advice: Be careful choosing hotel s location in Kata via Google map. Most of the second line hotels has no quick and convenient access to the beach due to the long concrete wall along the second road which started just after Kata Beach Resort and another big first line hotel (ClubMed) which also obstruct quick access to the beach.
Among 3 beaches Kata certainly most buitiful one with very clean water ( same as at Phi-Phi). Much more quiet place versus Patong. |

| Хочу поблагодарить агента по Тайланду Антона Соколова, сопровождающего систему бронирования отелей asiahotels.ru, за помощь в организации поездки. Он не только помог забронировать на нужные даты и сроки нужные отели в этой стране, но и подобрал авиабилеты и трансфер до отеля, а также ответил на интересующие вопросы.
Отель Orchidacea 3* выбирал сам исходя из критерия удобства расположения. Как показала практика, в этом я не обманулся. Выбирал между пляжами Карон и Ката. Но Карон мне показался слишком большим и неуютным, также смущала, проходящая рядом дорога и я отдал предпочтение отелям рядом с пляжем Ката. Также хотелось, чтобы была рядом курортная инфраструктура в виде кафе, магазинов и прочего (всё это есть в районе пляжа Ката). От Orchidacea до пляжа Ката можно было дойти за 5-7 минут не спеша мимо магазинчиков и ресторана (многие 3* отели Пхукета расположены на гораздо большем удалении от моря или визуально они близко, но чтобы попасть на пляж надо идти извилистыми тропами). До пляжа Ката Ной можно дойти за 12 минут, что тоже не напрягало. Последний пляж вообще показался самым замечательным, спокойным, немноголюдным и уютным. Территория отеля совсем маленькая, можно сказать, что её практически нет (впрочем как и у большинства 3* отелей на Пхукете). Отель расположен на крутом склоне горы, и все небольшие корпуса номеров встроены в него. Между этими блоками номеров проходят дорожки, по бокам от которых красивая ухоженная тропическая зелень, цветочки и т.д. Есть маленький тренажёрный зал, и маленький бассейн с лежаками, в котором мы кстати за 12 дней так и не искупались ни разу (некогда было) :). У входа в отель расположен ресторан на террасе, где кормят завтраками, там же есть маленький прудик с разноцветными рыбками. Завтраки вполне съедобные, есть из чего выбрать, но конечно не такой шведский стол, как в системе All inclusive в Египте или Турции. Поразило, что в стране круглогодичного сезона фруктов, в отеле дают соки, разведённые из концентрата (но это тоже особенность недорогих отелей). Положительной стороной этого отеля также является улыбчивый и дружелюбный персонал, что, в общем-то, свойственно большинству тайцев, которых приходилось встречать на курорте. Сотрудники отеля очень хорошо «выдрессированы» и обходительны и всегда приветствуют с улыбкой и поклоном. Бронировали номер стандарт, но нам дали Superior. Вход в большую часть номеров (и даже дорогих) через балкон!!! В дорогих номерах была дверь рядом с балконным окном. В нашем номере вход осуществлялся через стеклянную балконную дверь с примитивным замком. Полагаю, что это было сделано из-за экономии места. В связи с этим номер ночью с открытой балконной дверью не оставишь. И чтобы мимо проходящие на тебя не глазели, нужно держать закрытыми шторы на липучках (которые отваливаются). Впрочем, наш номер был в тупике и мимо него никто не ходил, но такую «особенность» строительства номеров отелей я встретил впервые, и мне это показалось довольно неудобным. В номере всё стандартно – без излишеств. Большая кровать, телевизор, тумбочки, столик, зеркало, платный мини-бар, мощный кондиционер, в ванной комнате душ без ванны за занавеской. Проблем с водой, наличием насекомых и грызунов не встречали. Ещё немного расстроила очень плохая звукоизоляция с соседним номером. С ним у нас была общая заблокированная двойная дверь. Видимо, первоначально планировалось, что это будет двойной номер. Двери дешёвые, и когда в соседнем номере громко разговаривали, то было очень хорошо слышно. Не понимаю, почему нельзя было вынести дверь и заделать проём кирпичом. Удивила также излишняя навязчивость горничной, которая игнорировала табличку «Do not disturb» и всё равно каждый день наведывалась в номер в наше отсутствие, хотя её об этом не просили. Также по вечерам в ресторане для ужинов врубали вентиляцию, которая больше напоминала по звуку модель аэродинамической трубы, которая прилично гудела, и чтобы её не слышать приходилось закрывать дверь в номер. К 12-ти часам это прекращалось. Трубу эту слышно в основном из номеров, которые выходят на ресторан. В общем, это всё мелочи, которые не могли серьёзно повлиять на впечатления от отдыха, но думаю что руководство отеля всё же могло бы уделять больше внимания комфорту пребывания их постояльцев. |

| The hotel was very nice with an very exotic garden and the staff very polite, althought many of them didn t speak English very well, which was difficult sometimes. The food served in the main restaurant was not as delightful as I hoped it would be, and the rooms very often invaded by mice and lizards and other small animals. |

| having stayed there a few years ago when it was known as pop cottage my family and i were looking forward to our stay. on arrival found that our room was double booked so were given a night in different hotel, 3 mins by car. we were offered a free dinner as a form of apology, arrived , and then told we could only have thai food for free. our laundry took 2.5 days to get done and, the restaurant was very poor, not at all as we remembered it. rooms are fine, though a little overpriced. i will definately not be making a third visit. |
