| we have just returned from an 8 night stay at the Sawasdee with friends, the rooms are quite small but adequate huge bed with mosquito net which is a must they are a problem but the staff are doing all they can to reduce them.Free bottles of water each day, The setting is quite beautiful with ferns and seats dotted around the reosrt. The breakfast area is lovely with a good range of cereals fruits, hot items and eggs cooked anyway you like.Coffe is good too. If you can afford it the Baray villas look amazing but not really necessary unless you plan to spend most of your time at the hotel.Staff were very nice and helpful, rooms cleaned every day, close to some good local restaraunts the Watermelon was very cheap with lovely authentic food.Kata beach in itself is on the quieter side not as touristy as Patong (not that we went there) but not too far away from a taxi ride. Would recommend to anyone. Do the Thai cooking class well worth it |

| The staff is brilliant and very helpful, the hotel is amazing and beautifull. Breakfast fantastic and no Russians! Concerning the mosquitos: Yes, there are mozzies in Thailand, it is a tropical green country! But this is the only hotel that tries to make the problem as small as possible. I ve been to 3 hotels in Kata, mozzies are everywhere (and LOVE my blood) but in this hotel I have only been stung once ore twice. It was far worst at the other hotels! Downside to this hotel: the room is incredibly small so pack light! The bar closes at 7 in the evning, after that the hotel is quiet. Go outside for entertainment. There is a lot of shadow and the rooms are a bit dark, but if you like the sun; the hotel has an hourly free shuttle service to the beach. Location is not perfect, it is between Kata centre and Kata beach, but a 10 minute walk fixes things! All and all: I would recommmend this hotel to all my friends who dont care that they are not directly at the beach. It is sweet and beautiful! |

| Our resent stay at Sawasdee Village was a very good and wonderful experience. We enjoyed it very much. The entire staff was helpfull about what could be expected.
However, the rooms were a little to small for a 2 weeks vacation, but the staff made up for that.
Our overall comment should be that the stay was smooth as silk, with a touch of Thai... |

| We really enjoyed Sawasdee village. The staff were very friendly
and helpful. The grounds, pool and restuarant were wonderful.
The breakfast buffet was the best I have had. Our only
complaint was with the room. It had a very bad mildew smell.
Phuket has many beaches nicer than Kata beach. |

| My wife and I stayed at the Sawasdee Village Phuket after recommendation from friends. From the moment we arrived to the day we left, the service from everyone at Sawasdee Village was exceptional. The rooms we clean and the decor (while a little outdated) provided a cosy and romantic fell about them. The toilet and shower are seprated from the room by a wall that doesnt reach the ceiling so it can be a little embarassing for the toilet user as others in room can hear everything otherwise there are no complaints whatsoever. The included Buffet Breakfast was to die for - my wife and I still talk about the huge selection and quality of the food. The Resturant itself gives the impresssion you are sitting in a romantic garden surrounded by ancient limestone walls with water features and plants / vines dotted throughout the restuarant. We found the location to be quiet and not in the mainstream, but within walking distance to many local restaurants and only a 10 min walk to the beach, or if you prefer, the Hotel Shuttle will drop you at the beach. We will certainly come back to the Sawasdee Village on our next visit to Phuket. |

| The hotel was great, one of the best we have stayed at in Thailand in the last 5 years. The room is nicely decorated and has a TV with internet access. The bed is very large. The pool is also amazing. Breakfast has a lot of variety and tastes good. The only downside to the hotel are: 1) Location is about 10 minutes away from the beach which is not a downside for everyone. 2) They allow smoking so sometimes when people outside of the other rooms smoke it will carry into your room through the door or AC. 3) Pool will close at 7pm due to safety concerns. |

| A truly beautiful resort. Lavishly decorated in a traditional Thai style. Beautiful arts, objects, paintings fill every corner of this resort. Lush greens and vegetations make it a real oasis. The pool and the pool bar provides a very relaxing atmosphere. The Rooms are clean and well decorated. All fit with an oversized King Bed and beautiful mosquito net. All the necessary equipments and amenities are more than sufficiently provided. Buffet beakfast is served every morning with a huge selection of food. Friendly staff and good service overall. Location is good, the only downside is too far from the beach, but restaurants/bars, laundry, 7 eleven, massages are all available within minutes of walk. Don t forget to check out the Boray Villas and The Boray Spa for the ultimate luxury experience. |

Good walk to the beach but have regular shuttles for the physically challenged. The rooms aren t huge but you really only sleep there, very comfortable. Check out the Baray Villas they are sensational. All staff were the best and the restaurant /breakfast were great. We can t praise the hotel enough, just hope we get to return!!!! |

| Very attractive traditional hotel. Not in the best part of town, but the hotel and its gardens are a haven of calm with a tranquil pool and fish-filled fountains. Once inside the grounds you completely forget the rather seedy attractive neighbourhood. We made sure that we had a few hours by the pool each day as it was so relaxing.
We stayed in the garden rooms which are not huge, but are very comfortable and well appointed with huge beds. I found ours too hard and a new mattress was delivered immediately! The bathrooms are also small, but well designed, however they could do with some basic renovation and the lighting needs an overhaul as you can t switch on the bathroom light without switching on the bedroom light! When I mentioned this I was assured that they are on the case. Judging by the attention to detail that we saw lavished on the Baray Villas I d be pretty confident that the upgrades to the regular rooms will be spot on too.
The staff were really charming and helpful. We took the hotel cooking lesson which was an absolute pleasure and we also tried out the spa which, like the hotel, is very beautiful. The massages were very good, but I thought that the manicure and pedicure service lacked the attention to detail that I would have expected in an award-winning spa. We would definitely stay again if we visit Phuket for a few days, but for a longer holiday I d prefer a hotel with a view. |

| Absolutely beautiful hotel with friendly and helpful service, nice pool and pretty good food. The location was perfect and within walking distance to the beach. The area itself was pretty quiet and away from all the busy and bustling night time bars which were about 10 minutes up the road if one did want to venture into that scene. Plenty of shopping and restaurant opportunities within walking distance. |

| This hotel is a hidden gem with amazing gardens, wonderful dining area and pool. The hotel is located over koi ponds and has a wonderful atmosphere.
Hotel staff couldn t do enough to assist, we felt like royalty.
Our room, deluxe garden villa was bigger than some of the other rooms but disappointingly smaller than we expected and dwarfed by a huge bed. There was no drawer space or storage space. We were there for a week and I was unable to unpack which made the room feel even more cramped.
Although there was a fridge and 4 bottles of free water a day, there was no kettle which was most unusual for a hotel of this calibre.
There are computers in every room with flat screen which doubles as a T.V.
This is very good but we encountered many problems in our room with the computer and for entertainment purposes the screen was too small and inadequate.
Beech towels were provided daily with a convenient carry-on bag and transport provided hourly. When we requested to return not on the hour, but the half hour this was accommodated without question.
Nice outside sitting area.
Lot of mosquitos but the hotels does everything to keep this to the minimum including special burners in the gardens and mosquito nets around the beds.
We asked to see the larger rooms, ie. Baray Villas and couldn t resist the opportunity to upgrade for our last night. This experience was the most amazing one and the highlight of our holiday - who said that a hotel room is only to sleep. The Baray Villas are the last word in luxury and decadence and we enjoyed every second of the 28 hours that we were there. For special occasions - honeymoons, wedding anniversaries or people with the money, go for it. I would seriously consider going at the beginning of the season or end of the season for a weekend - AMAZING.
only small critism is that the decor is Arabesque and really when in Thailand I would have preferred Thai decor that is qhy I picked the Sawasdee in the first place. I am still blown away by the experience. |
